Leviticus 25-27
/“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments … I will turn to you and make you fruitful and multiply you … (26:3-9). To enjoy God’s covenant blessings, the Israelites were commanded to step out in faith, to obey even when it seemed risky: not working on Sabbaths, not planting or harvesting every seventh year, and cancelling debts and returning land to its original owners every 50 years. These steps would reveal their heart’s loyalty to God and faith in His power.
“I will walk among you and be your God” (26:12). If God walks among us, we can’t hide it. Faith in Him overflows into radical, risky choices: loving our enemies, giving sacrificially, sharing good news.
