Psalm 26-27
/“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (v1). The psalmist had faith in the Lord’s powerful love for him, and this gave him deep-down security. Enemies, troubles of all kinds, even relational strife (v10) could not destroy him. As he kept seeking to know the Lord (v8), his trust grew: “I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living!” (v13). Despite serious challenges, he knew that God would help him find “level ground” (27:12).
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, let your heart take courage” (v14). Courage to wait comes from being convinced that God loves us and is for us.
