Psalm 37
/“Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness” (v3). The psalmist encourages us to keep choosing God’s ways, even when present circumstances tempt us to follow the world’s methods. It may look like the powers of injustice, oppression, and violence are winning, but the psalmist assures us that God will judge wickedness in the end (v7, 17, 20). Therefore, we simply do what is right and trust His plan. “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him” (v7).
“Wait for the LORD and keep his way … there is a future for the man of peace” (v34-37). Committed to Jesus, we look forward to the “abundant peace” of our inheritance (v11).
