Psalm 38-39

“For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me” (38:4). The psalmist expressed the misery of being overwhelmed by the burdens of sin (v3). Despite this despair, he declared that he knew where his help was. “But for you, O LORD, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer” (38:15; 39:7). He realized that even if he lost everything (39:11), God would not abandon him. Sin entangled him, but the Lord could rescue and redeem.

“Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!” (38:22). There is no situation too dark or too complicated for God. When we ask, He is quick to help us.
