Psalm 133-134
/“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (v1). The psalms and the entire Scriptures assume that human life is meant to be lived in community. God designed us that way, yet sin causes division and hatred and selfishness. The psalmist said that when God’s will is accomplished and people live in fellowship rather than enmity, it is like anointing oil that runs down the head of Aaron the priest – symbol of God’s presence, blessing, and favor.
“Life forevermore” (v3). Real faith in Jesus is not something to be experienced in isolation. Through Him we become sons and daughters of God’s family, brothers and sisters, in this life and the life to come.
