Psalm 128

“Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!” (v1). When the Israelites walked in obedience to the Lord, covenant blessings followed: their labor produced fruit, their families flourished, and they lived at peace (v2- 3). When they disobeyed, they felt the effects of sin. The Messiah entered a world broken by sin, and He promised that even those who mourned, suffered, and lacked many things would find real blessing when they trusted in Him (Matthew 5).

“It shall be well with you” (v2). God promises that we will find security and joy when we put our trust in Him. He forgives our sins, heals our wounds, and leads us in the path of peace.
