I John 1
/“That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ” (v3). John’s goal was to invite men and women into the fellowship with Father and Son that he and other disciples had experienced. He reassured those who were insecure in their relationship with God that if we confess our sins (v7-9), Jesus forgives us and helps us to “walk in the light” (v7).
“We have fellowship with one another” (v7). Salvation means that by faith we join a new family; we are loved and accepted by God and begin to love and accept one another.
