Micah 4-7

“In that day, declares the LORD, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away ...” (4:6). Israel’s religious and political leaders had rebelled against the Lord, and the nation suffered. But Micah prophesied that God planned to rescue the humble, the exiles and the wounded, and to make them “a strong nation” (4:6-7). God’s appointed Messiah would “shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD ... And they shall dwell secure” (5:4).

“And he shall be their peace” (5:5). Our peace and well-being come from the Messiah’s rule in our hearts, which is a foretaste of His rule over the whole earth.
