Revelation 16

“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on ...” (15). In John’s vision, bowls of wrath are poured out on the earth, and these plagues are judgments against those who murdered the “saints and prophets” (v6). Yet some ignore the plagues and refuse to repent (11). During these difficult times, Jesus reminds His people to “stay awake”, to remain clothed, ready, loyal to Him and prepared for His return.

“Just are You, O Holy One, who is and who was ...” (5). We can trust God to judge the world with perfect justice and mercy. Our task is to remain close to our Savior and “stay awake.”
