Revelation 17
/“They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings” (14). John’s vision showed evil powers under the authority of “the beast” who “was and is not and is to come” (8). As evil always tries to mimic righteousness, the beast tries to imitate the true King who “was and is and is to come.” But believers don’t fear this deception. The Lamb knows His own, and the “called and faithful” know Him (14).
“He is Lord of lords and King of kings” (14). Imitations and false copies don’t compare to the King who loves us enough to die for us. He will be with us through the end.
