Psalm 148

“Praise Him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!” (3). The psalmist recognized that the whole beautiful universe praises God simply by existing. “For He commanded, and they were created” (5). Every bit of the creation’s majestic diversity glorifies its Creator: “Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word! Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!” (7-9). We as humans are part of this created order and worship Him with our voices (11-13).

“Praise the Lord!” (1). Everything we see and seek to understand gives us a glimpse of God’s glory.
