Psalm 150

“Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!” (2). The psalms recount God’s “mighty deeds” and give us plenty of reasons to praise His “excellent greatness.” God created our beautiful universe and remained lovingly, sacrificially committed to us, His creatures, even when we disobeyed Him. When we praise Him with instruments and skill – tambourine and dance, strings and pipe and cymbals, we are joining the whole universe that constantly rejoices in the King.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” (6). Because He is good, because He is infinite, and because He became one of us for our salvation, we praise Him.
