Ephesians 1:15-23

“I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers” (v16). The Ephesians were already “sealed” with the Holy Spirit (v14), yet Paul prayed that these believers would be given “the Spirit of wisdom and revelation” so that they would know Christ more. Knowing that they faced temptation and hardship, Paul wanted them to truly understand their hope, “the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe” (v18-19).

We who have put our trust in Christ are “his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all” (v23), and the Spirit wants to help us know Him more.
