Isaiah 55-57

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money ...” (55:1). Isaiah said that God’s offer of salvation wasn’t just to the insiders who knew God’s ways, but to “everyone who thirsts.” Shockingly, it was even for the outcast, the imperfect, and foreigner (56:1-8) – everyone who answered the call. “And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD ... these I will bring to my holy mountain” (56:6-7).

“For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples” (56:6-7). Labels, culture, and morality don’t earn us a place; God’s house is open to “all peoples” who truly thirst for Him.
