Ezekiel 31-33

“As I live, declares the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live” (33:11). God sent the prophet Ezekiel as a “watchman” for Israel who was called to remind them of God’s ways, pointing out where they had fallen short so that they could return to Him. Ezekiel and other prophets were signs of God’s grace; He gave people many warnings and opportunities to change. Even more, God was eager for their repentance (33:15).

“Turn back, turn back from your evil ways” (33:11). Though we rebelled and ran away, God gave His own Son to save us and works constantly to bring us home.
