Psalm 7-9

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” (8:4). The psalmist was amazed at God’s intention for humans, that we are “crowned with glory and honor” (v5) and commissioned to be God’s priests and sub-rulers in the world. Therefore, our choices matter. We can create trouble that poisons our lives and world (7:14-16; 9:15-17), or we can carry out the plans of the King who “rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity” (9:8).

“Those who know your name trust in You” (9:10). We were created to know and share God’s name – His heart, His ways and His purposes - on earth. When we follow Him, we become truly human.
