Genesis 11-15
/“Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward” (15:1). God’s intention to redeem the world and bring people back into relationship with Himself began with an invitation to Abram. He was called to leave ordinary life and security behind (ch 12) and to trust the Lord for provision, protection, and blessing. Abram obeyed and became a man without a home. Imperfect as he was, Abram trusted that God’s word was a better promise than what the world offered.
“Abram believed the Lord, and he credited to him as righteousness” (15:6). God is looking for people who will believe and follow Him, trusting His love and goodness even when we don’t have all the answers.
