Acts 3-4
/“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (4:12). Peter and John’s boldness came from “having been with Jesus” (4:13) and being filled with the Spirit (4:31). They were eyewitnesses of what religious leaders and government could do, as well as the limits of that kind of power. “You killed the author of life, but God raised him from dead” (3:15). Persecuted for preaching, the believers simply gathered for prayer, gave the situation to the Lord, and prayed for more boldness (4:29).
“We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard” (4:20). Faith and boldness come when we spend time with Jesus.
