Psalms 94
/“When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me” (18). Times of frustration, disappointment, or trouble can make us feel that we are ‘slipping,’ and we look around for support (16). Although we know our good God is powerful, it can seem that evil is triumphant (3-7). But the psalmist reminds us that the great Judge sees everything, is working for justice, and will never forsake us (14). He has been our help (17), and he will continue to come to our rescue.
“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy” (19). When we meditate on God’s faithful, rescuing love, he replaces our anxiety with peace and joy.
