Colossians 4
/“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt ...” (5). Paul urged the Colossians to make sure their behavior and words reflected the Jesus they were all proclaiming (3-4). As they learned to “put to death” things like anger, malice, sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed (3:5) and put on “compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” (3:12), the “mystery of Christ” (4:3) would shine through their transformed lives.
Like Epaphras, we are called to “wrestle in prayer” for one another, that we “may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured” (4:12).
