Psalm 133-134

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (133:1). The point of Zion was not simply for God to be with individuals, but for God to dwell among his gathered and unified people. When the independent tribes came together under a leader and made one nation, God poured out a special anointing (133:2-3). At peace with one another and secure from enemies, the tribes enjoyed abundant provision and were able to focus on praising and worshiping the Lord (Ps 134).

“For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore” (133:3). Real blessing flows when we put down our swords and, in unity, worship the Lord together.
