Ephesians 6

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (6:10). Paul wanted the Ephesians to be fortified in the truth: that God has lavished grace on us in Christ, that we are forgiven, that we are God’s handiwork, and that Christ is our peace (ch 1-2). The Spirit, the Word, faith, and prayer are how we fight the enemy who seeks to tear apart families, pull us into temptation, and cause us to doubt Christ’s love.

“Be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people” (6:18). In prayer, we lean on God to help us stand firm, together.
