Psalm 43
/“Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me” (3). The psalmist was oppressed and mourning, feeling rejected by God and others (1-2). He knew that the answer was to go to “the altar of God” (4), but he couldn’t do it on his own. He needed God’s faithful care to make a way for him. Even though he was downcast and disturbed (5), the psalmist trusted that he would once again experience the Lord as “my joy and my delight” (4).
“Bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell” (3). In our lowest times, we can ask the Lord to light our path and to restore us to the delight of his presence.
