Revelation 11-16

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death” (12:11). In John’s vision, the Son born of a woman was protected from the dragon’s schemes (12:1-6). The same dragon “waged war” against all “who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus” (12:17). These faithful ones “triumphed” not by taking up arms or by seizing power, but by their testimony about Jesus and their willingness to surrender their lives (12:11).

We follow “the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world” (13:8), who broke the power of evil through the loving sacrifice of his own life.
