Deuteronomy 33-34
/“Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord?” (33:29). Moses’ final words to the tribes of Israel described the Lord’s desire to live in their midst and bless them, and through Israel’s Messiah God would extend the same blessing to all humanity. By faith we can “rest secure in him,” knowing that “the the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders” (33:12). Rather than a life of worry, hopelessness, and self-destruction, in Christ we have “the best gifts of the earth and its fullness” (33:16)– everything we need.
“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (33:27). We are not meant to strive alone, but to find peace and strength in God’s everlasting arms.
