Deuteronomy 8-12

The Center for Global Christianity suggests that there are over 200 Christian denominations in the US, and perhaps 45,000 globally. Moses reminded Israel of the giving of the Ten Commandments, then said clearly what God expected of them – to fear the Lord, walk in his ways, to love and serve him with all of their hearts and keep the commandments, 10:1-13, and repeated in 11:1. To this he added, “I am setting before you this day a blessing and a curse,” a blessing for listening, a curse if one refused, 11:26.

God gives choice and honors choice. His “way” leads to his blessing; all other ways lead to the alternative. There is no neutrality.
